Thinking about my local farmer’s market post yesterday, I was inspired by the blueberries I picked up and wanted to try something new. I started by writing some notes and voilà, blueberry jam was born!
It was so easy and now I am looking forward to a summer of jams!
1 pint of blueberries
1/2 juice of a lemon
pinch of salt
Literally, it sounds silly, but it was that easy!
Wash the berries, place in a pot and combine all ingredients.
Mash until a chunky consistency and bring to a boil.
Lower the flame to a simmer and cook for about 25 minutes, the blueberries transform into a lovely, gooey, paste.
Scoop into a glass jar and chill.
Serve over anything you like and smile.
