Meatfree Monday- Avocado Fries

I’ve seen these little gems popping up all over my food world and recently One Green Planet had a recipe that inspired me to create the below recipe.

Creamy avocado inside with crunchy outside, move over potatoes, there is a new fry in town!

Pre heat the oven to 400 degrees Ferinheight, Gas Mark 6 

Ingredients:
1 cup of gluten free flour, I used garbanzo bean
1 cup of soy milk
3/4 cup of gluten free bread crumbs
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
3 Tablespoons of Old Bay Seasoning
1 teaspoon (or a large pinch) red pepper chili flakes
1 avocado (1/2 per person)

Method:
Combine the bread crumbs, nutritional yeast, Old Bay and chili flakes in a bowl and set aside
Pour the soy milk into a bowl, set aside
Measure out the gf flour and set aside
Line up the bowls above in the following order, flour, milk, bread crumb mixture in preparation for your dipping assembly line
Cut the avocado in half and then slice into about 5 slices per half
Scoop out the slices and one by one dip in the flour, then milk and finally the crumb mixture
Continue until all slices coated
Place on a greased baking tray and bake for 15 minutes
Serve with a vegan mayonnaise and hot sauce dip, below

Hot Sauce Vegan Mayo Dip:

Ingredients:
1/4 cup vegan mayo
Drizzle the sriracha or hot sauce to your spice level

Method:
Add both ingredients in a bowl, whip rapidly with a fork until smooth and a light pink color achieved
Serve on the side to dip away and enjoy.
