On my last Friday in England, my mother-in-law and I went into Newcastle for some shopping and of course vegan eats! We went with a plan in mind and instead stumbled upon Super Natural Vegetarian and Vegan Cafe and boy am I glad we did! What a gem of a find nestled in Upper Princess Square in the bustling Newcastle- Upon-Tyne, North East, England.
As we approached my mother-in-law remembered this vegetarian cafe being here in the 70s in Newcastle when she would frequent the town and now it is keeping true to it’s past with a new owner and fresh vibe.
This cafe not only had friendly staff, a welcoming environment, but also a killer menu. I have mentioned before that I love pouring over menus and imagining the flavors as I read the dishes listed, especially when it is all veggie and gluten free options labeled!
I could have ordered one of everything, but my mom always says leave something to go back for, so we went with the open salad bar. The whole salad bar was vegan and gluten free, except for one thing, enter happy dance!
We ended with tea and talks about our next visit. What a find in Newcastle, I already am counting the days to go back!
The events look amazing and the food is even better, so if you find yourself in the North East of England, head on over to Super Natural and get your nom on!
