If I could travel the world, write, eat and repeat I would and I would start with The Green Rocket. Positioned in the middle of bustling Bath, England, this busy cafe and restaurant is a hot spot for sure. The Green Rocket is placed on the corner of North Parade with an atmosphere that is clean, fresh and offers a serene feeling from the moment you walk in the doors. The staff are friendly and kind with warm smiles to welcome you in.
The tea and coffee menu is inviting and I recommend ordering one while you pour over the carefully planned and perfectly designed menu. Warning, you might want to order one of everything!
After an hour and a half drive on the other side of the road, for me, I was ready for a coffee and some eats.
This was the perfect afternoon between Christmas and New Year.
I started with the celiac fritters, which were crispy, crunchy and savory. Paired with a creamy sauce, these bites were so satisfying to eat, the only problem, I should have placed two orders😉
Next up, I had a zucchini noodle dish, aptly coined zoodles in the states and corgetti in the UK, named after courgette, their word for this green squash. This dish was topped with fresh basil and perfectly cooked tofu pieces.
I wanted to go back to Bath after being there over twenty years ago as a child with fond memories. This visit brought back those childhood dreams and good times. I now need to make my way back yet again one day because they were out of the two dishes I wanted to try, the ramen noodles and onion rings, yes, vegan onion rings!
Worth a flight back just for that!
The Green Rocket is the perfect place to eat solo, sip a coffee, meet friends and enjoy great food in a beautiful environment with inspiring dishes and a like minded community.
Have a veg friendly place you are in love with from traveling? I would love to hear about it!
